Aquila Nidus Montessori School

Our school

A small school with a clear purpose

Since 2012, Aquila Nidus has served families in Gbagada with authentic Montessori education for children from two months to six years.

Vision

A world where skilled, respectful adults guide children to align with God’s unique design for them.

Mission

We empower adults to nurture and guide children in realizing their God-given potential.

Core values

What guides our practice

01

Child-Centeredness

The child leads. We observe, prepare and follow the individual path of each learner.

02

Continuous Learning

Our adults keep studying, refining practice and deepening their Montessori craft.

03

Integrity

We do what we say, in front of families and when no one is watching.

04

Responsibility

Care of self, of others and of the environment is practised daily, by adults first.

05

Parental Partnership

Home and school work as one team around the child, in open and regular dialogue.

06

Excellence

Prepared environments, trained guides and careful detail in everything we offer.

07

Respect

Every child is known by name, spoken to with dignity and guided with grace.

Our people

Trained adults, prepared for children

Our Director of Education is Ajoke David. Each level is led by an AMI-trained lead guide, supported by assistants who know the children well.

Our Head of Learning holds AMI 0–3 certification and leads the Nido and Toddler Community teams. In the Children’s House, one AMI-trained lead guide and one assistant serve a community of 24–30 children — the group size Montessori practice is designed around.

Continuous learning is a core value: our adults keep studying so that what happens in the classroom stays faithful to authentic Montessori practice.
