Practical details
Meals
Healthy meals and snacks are prepared on site in a nut-free kitchen. We are allergy-aware and provide alternate meals where a child needs them.
Transport
A complimentary shuttle runs from and to 10 Morenikeji Street, New Garage, Gbagada. A paid door-to-door school bus service is also available.
Safety
CCTV, security personnel on site, first aid provision and regular fire drills, with controlled arrival and collection.
Staying in touch
Termly parent conferences and written reports, plus everyday conversation with your child’s guide. Admissions and the office are reachable by phone and WhatsApp.
Homework
We do not set traditional homework for children aged 0–6. Where it is meaningful, we suggest simple ideas to continue at home.
Additional needs
Children with additional needs are welcomed. We observe, agree individualised strategies with you, and can refer to a network of specialists.
Frequently asked
Moving on from the 0–6 programme to primary school
Yes. The third year of the Children’s House is the year in which the foundations laid in the earlier years come together — reading, writing, mathematics, independent work habits, concentration and social confidence. Children who complete the full cycle typically transition into primary school well prepared academically and, just as importantly, self-directed and settled.
Children who have spent years choosing their own work, completing it and caring for their environment usually adapt quickly. We prepare them in the final year for a more structured routine — longer group work, written recording and following a timetable — while protecting the independence they have built.
Families have gone on to schools such as Grenville, Greensprings, Corona and Wellsprings College, among others. Each family chooses the next school that suits them, and we support that decision.
We share observation records and a written report, discuss your child’s readiness in a parent conference, and talk through what different primary schools look for so you can make an informed choice.
We do not set traditional homework for children aged 0–6. Where it is meaningful, we may suggest simple ideas to continue at home — practical life work, reading together, conversation and outdoor exploration.
